opportunities geared to enhancing their learning experience and providing
them with the skills required to enter the world of work, college or
university.
Medal-winning Athlete
Congratulations to Thomas Juha,
grade 10 student at Michael Power/St. Joseph Catholic Secondary
School, winner of a gold medal in the 200-metres at the Canadian Youth
Track and Field Championships. He also won a silver in the medley relay
and bronze in the 100-metre dash.

Congratulations to St. John's Catholic School for winning the city
championships in elementary cross-country. The team from St. Clement

Canadian Junior Chess Championships for the top chess players under 20
years old and will represent Canada in the 2008 World Junior Chess
