The Adult ESL Curriculum Guidelines, based on Canadian Language Benchmarks 2000, 4th Edition (2003)
A competency-based thematic curriculum aligned with the Canadian Language Benchmarks 2000. The Guidelines promote learner-centred approach to language learning and support task-based instruction in the areas of community, work, and study. The incorporation of computer-assisted language learning and workplace ESL assist instructors in ensuring that learners settlement and integration needs are met.

LINC Curriculum Guidelines Based on Canadian Language Benchmarks 2000 (2002)
This theme-based document combines LINC 1-3 (1997) and LINC 4&5 (1999) documents based on the theoretical foundation of Communicative Competence and is aligned with the Canadian Language Benchmarks 2000.
The topic pages in each theme includes: Topic Outcomes, Language Focus items, Topic Development ideas, and Strategies for learners. These four sections support the development of communicative competence by including elements of linguistic, textual, functional, sociocultural, and strategic competence.

CALL: A Software Guide for the LINC Classroom (2000)
This book has been developed for the LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) instructors in Ontario to assist them in providing Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL).
It includes comprehensive step-by-step instructions and explanations about the use of: Explore Canada, ELLIS (Intro, Middle Mastery, Senior Mastery, Master Pronunciation, Placement, and Instructor Utilities), Tense Buster (including Tense Buster Authoring), Microsoft Word, and Windows 95 at five levels (LINC 1-5) of instruction. Each level includes sample lesson plans and suggested activities that have been aligned with the LINC 1-5 Curriculum Guidelines developed for Ontario.
Additional tools in the guide include an introduction to CALL and CMC (Computer Mediated Communication), lab rules and maintenance, troubleshooting and networking, as well as a computer skills checklist, glossaries, and electronic resources for instructors and learners.

The Adult ESL Curriculum Guidelines, Canadian Language Benchmarks 1-12, 1999 Edition
A comprehensive and widely used 464-page curriculum has been developed to assist instructors in the implementation of adult ESL programs. Numerous lesson plans, assessment tools, sections on ESL in the workplace, the integration of grammar and computers, and program evaluation provide theoretical and practical support pertaining to adult ESL programs.

LINC 4 & 5 Curriculum Guidelines (1999)
This document is based on the theoretical framework of communicative competence. The guidelines were developed to establish measurable outcomes based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks to ensure consistency in the delivery of LINC 4 and LINC 5 programs across Ontario.
The inclusion of technology has been encouraged throughout the document to
assist instructors to integrate Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) into their day to day teaching practices.
