To provide our staff with opportunities for on-going professional development and growth, the Adult Education Continuing Education Department supports a number of annual and on-going professional development initiatives within the department and in the larger ESL community.
The annual
Professional Development
Conference, held in February, is attended by the entire instructional staff of daytime intensive and part-time programs.
The conference is open to guest participants for a
small fee.
A wide variety of in-service workshops are offered monthly for ESL and ESL/Computer
Skills instructors in centres around Toronto.
These workshops are open to a limited number of fee
paying participants.
A number of TCDSB Adult Education staff are involved in presenting workshops and sessions at and TESL affiliate conferences.
The
Adult Education Continuing Education
Department supports the participation of staff in TESL conferences at the provincial and affiliate levels.
