Admission criteria for the Arrowsmith Program in the TCDSB

The typical student in the Arrowsmith Program in the TCDSB, like students in the Arrowsmith Program at all schools offering this program:

  • is of average or above average intelligence
  • has a combination of the learning dysfunctions that are described in the Descriptions of Learning Dysfunctions on our web site and in our Brochure
  • does not have severe intellectual, cognitive, emotional or behavioural disorders that would significantly affect his or her ability to participate in the Arrowsmith Program.
  • does not have acquired brain injury, autism or any other pervasive developmental disorder

In addition, for admission to a school within the TCDSB and subject to space being available, the student must:

  • be identified or in the process of being identified as learning disabled
  • be of elementary school age
  • meet the admission criteria for admission to a Toronto Catholic School
