Celebrating Chaminade's 40 Years Of Excellence

 Dear Alumni,

 As you are already aware Chaminade College School has arrived at yet another momentous landmark in its successful history as an educational institution - we have reached our 40th birthday! We are proud to have officially kicked off the celebrations of our 40^th Anniversary with a Mass celebrated by His Excellency Bishop John Boissoneau on Thursday, January 21, 2005.

 A committee of staff members has been diligently at work in the background organizing all the events that will be taking place to mark this occasion. This is where we would like to enlist your support.

 We have undertaken several initiatives which will require material or financial assistance. The initiatives are the following:

    1. The restoration of graduation photo composites which presently hang in the lower hallway of the school.

    2. The establishment of an annual scholarship to be awarded to a graduating student that best exemplifies the spirit of Chaminade.

 In order to begin the fundraising process for these initiatives, we have decided to include a Silent Auction as part of our gala evening to be held Friday, April 29, 2005. For this, we will require items/services to be auctioned off or cash donations to be used for the purchase of items. In addition, Paul Orsi, a Chaminade graduate and present teacher at the school, is organizing a Golf Tournament to be held on May 28, 2005. He will require individuals to sponsor various holes at the tournament and also to donate items to be offered at the prize table. Finally, Bob Giza, Head of  Science, and Tino Romano, one of our Science teachers are planning a Fishing Derby for the weekend of September 16-18, 2005. For this event, they would also appreciate prizes and/or cash donations.
