Q. When does the Saturday School Semester begin? Night school registration is typically between mid September and the end of September and starts at the end of September or beginning of October. Please visit our Night school section for more information. Q. I am an adult, and I would like to take Saturday School. You may enroll into the program. If you need to obtain more credits, you can try the Msgr. Fraser College found in the School Directory. You can also take a look at the Adult Education Website. Or you can also try the Independent Learning Centre. at 416-484-2704 or Toll Free 1-800-387-5512 Q. Does Saturday school offer any other subjects besides languages? We ONLY offer the courses listed on our credit courses listing. Q. How many days can I be away from Saturday School? You are allowed to be away for three days before being withdraw from the program. You are responsible for your absences. Due to the nature of our programs, unexcused absences will lead to withdrawal from our program. Please refer to the General Information section in the according semester. Q. I am not Catholic, can I still enroll into the program? Everyone is welcomed to enroll into our program providing they have the necessary course requirements regardless of faith. Q. I am an adult returning to school and have not been attending any school for years, what do I need to return to school to obtain my diploma/credit? Unfortunately, the Continuing Education Department only issue report cards not diplomas. We issue report cards based on the credit courses which was obtained in our programs and must be taken to your day school or previous secondary school Guidance Department. It is your responsibility to ensure that the Continuing Education Program marks are recorded correctly on your transcript. For a Diploma, you must contact your previous secondary school for information and procedures as "we" (the Continuing Education Dept.) do not issue diplomas at all. It is your responsibility to obtain the necessary information on your transcript to find out what courses you are missing. We do not provide all the courses that a day school location would and only provide courses that are listed on our course calendar. We do not have any of your history/records/transcripts with the exception that you have taken a Night School/Saturday International Language/Summer School with us within the past 5 years. We do have record of you taking one of our courses, but not your entire academic record. To obtain this information you can contact your previous secondary school or contact the Achieves/Records or Admissions Department for assistance @ 416-222-8282. If you have not taken any instructional credit courses in Ontario and need testing, then you must contact Msgr. I will be going on vacation and it conflicts with the exam day. Can I write the exam early? No you cannot. In order to obtain a credit you must attend class according to the schedule.
