CSAC Consultation--TCDSB Acceptable Use Policy

The TCDSB is currently in the process of revising its Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for the use of computer technology in our Board. The current policy has become dated and does not fully address the changes in technology that have occurred over the past decade.

A joint technology committee, consisting of staff and representatives from our various union groups, has drafted a revised Acceptable Use Policy. This policy, which will apply to students, staff and visitors making use of the Board’s computer network, includes various revisions-most notably procedures governing the use of the use of personal electronic devices.

Parents can access the draft policy online, as well as a short video which summarizes the key changes and additions to the AUP. CSAC parent members are invited to review the policy and provide feedback by answering an online survey.
