Youth Leadership: Online

LeadersClick is an online project that the CSLIT communications committee has undertaken to spread news about the huge amount of different leadership oppurtunities available in Toronto.

It's still in its early stages, but once complete, it will contain descriptions of youth leadership groups and events in Toronto. LeadersClick will also have resources, links to other great leadership related sites, and a forum!

Pretty much, we're going to latch onto the whole "web 2.0 craze" as they call it, throw in some leadership, and hold on for our dear lives... LeadersClick will be a youth leadership website, with a twist!

Here's some features :

user created content

add your own group, event idea, leadership resource, etc... no need to go through a webmaster (i.e. me)... it will work just like facebook (and, this will include photos)

reviews and ratings

what'd you think of that guest speaker who was at your school yesterday? find him/her on the site, give a thumbs up or down, and give a short review

discussions

...on any topic (preferably leadership), but, for example, someone might ask a question, "what's the most succesful way to fundraise?" or "what do you think of the mandatory religion course requirement for grade 12's?" and it goes from there...

calendar

a look into all the events coming up... (a lot of work will go into this... think ajaxy-goodness, if you know what that means)

profiles

what's a user site without a profile...
