Continuing the Project
in 2003
 You can't change the world in one day, or one year - we tried
and it's not possible. Of course, someone also once said, "impossible is a
word found in a dictionary of fools", so building on the work from the St.
Sylvester Gr. 7/8 class last year, the Enviro Crew of Prince of Peace has
continued the Race to Zero Waste. Here are some of the ways we've
continued this project.

Updated the website with some new ideas

Continued to send letters to companies that we think need to change
their packaging

Continued to contact government officials to ask them to pay
attention to the issue of Zero Waste
|

|
Encouraged other schools to have a Waste Free lunch day
|
|
|
Set up a compost for our school to get people ready for Task Force
2010 coming to Scarborough
|
|
|
Invited other schools to attend our environmental conference of
young minds |
There is so much to do in this project and in reality our work can
never be over. What we hope we've continued most of all is getting people
to stop and think about the waste they create. We've started to think
about it - now it's your turn!
