TCDSB Chair: Oliver Carroll  Oliver
Carroll, Trustee for Ward 8, became the Chair of the Toronto Catholic District
School Board effective November 24, 2005.Mr. Carroll stresses the importance of the Board planning ahead to face the many challenges facing publicly funded Catholic education and remaining accountable and transparent in all its dealings. “Our purpose is to provide the best possible education for our students, within a Catholic environment by utilizing the resources that are available to us”. Mr. Carroll is committed to being a strong voice for Catholic education. “We need to emphasize the importance and the value of Catholic education to our communities and to all levels of government”. Oliver Carroll: Profile Oliver Carroll was first appointed to the Board in January 2003. He is a mediator with the Toronto Superior Courts on civil and estate matters, is Executive Director of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and serves on the Board of Governors for Ryerson University and on the Board of Directors for Canadian Crossroads International. He is married, with three children who have all graduated from TCDSB schools.
