Collections and Services
The library was established in 1966 as a source of academic, curricular and Catholic materials for use by all members of the Metropolitan Separate School Community. Over the year the library collection has developed into one of the best collection in education. The collection is particularly well developed in the areas of education, child psychology and religion. New additions to the collection reflect the changes in educational trends and interests of the educational community.
Collections of the Professional Library are used to support daily classroom work, curriculum development, teacher professional development and administrative decision making.
Materials on Catholicism and Catholic education form an important part of the Library's collection. This theological connection supports the Boards commitment to spiritual growth, personal development and promotion of the ideals of Catholic education.
