One of our Grade 12 students Viviana Astudillo has been awarded the 2007 Governor General's Award for her outstanding contribution toward promoting equality for women in Canada. She is one of five recipients in the country. Her work represents the school's commitment to community service and to student leadership.

The extensive Grade 9 Orientation program helps to welcome new students and assists them in adjusting to secondary school. This year the Grade 9 students participated in an Orientation/Retreat program at Camp Olympia. After the three day camp experience, students returned with wonderful memories, new friendships and a real sense of community living.
