Hello All:  This is Odd Week 29.  As of Monday there are 41 days of school remaining in which students may submit work or write tests.  The time is flying by.

Last week was a particularly busy one for all staff.  Teachers completed report cards and dealt with student issues surrounding university deadlines, and all staff pitched in with the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test.  We had an extraordinary number of students writing this year.  Thank you to our Literacy Committee as well as to Santo who helped co-ordinate the test day.  We appreciate your assistance!

Thank you to all staff for your participation in last Friday’s P.A. day.  We remind all Department Heads to forward your Final Forty plans to Patricia by Tuesday.  Thanks!

This is Holy Week and we will be busy here at Ward.  Agincourt Community Services has asked us to participate in a food drive.  Mary Louise and Peter have put together a hand out for you to share with your advisees.  Let’s see what we can do to help them out.

We have a number of trips going out this week.  Please refer to the on-line calendar for more details.  We will be handing out report cards on Tuesday rather than Monday.  A Syner-Voice memo will go out to all families to remind them of the report card distribution.  PLEASE FOLLOW UP WITH ALL STUDENTS THAT DO NOT RETURN THEIR REPORT CARD ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM.  This is a legal document and we need to ensure that all parents receive a copy of their child’s report.  In terms of distribution of report cards, students will be called back for afternoon TA on Tuesday slightly earlier than usual.  Report cards will be carried home rather than be mailed.

Wednesday is our Easter Liturgy.  We will be celebrating two masses at 9:15 a.m. and the second mass will be at 10:20 a.m.  All staff were given a mass seating plan on Friday.  Please encourage your advisees to attend mass.

We are off this Friday and Monday as we celebrate the joy of Easter.  May you and your loved ones enjoy a blessed Easter.

An Easter Prayer

Heavenly Father and God of mercy,
we no longer look for Jesus among the dead,
for he is alive and has become the Lord of life.
From the waters of death you raise us with him
and renew your gift of life within us.
Increase in our minds and hearts
the risen life we share with Christ
and help us to grow as your people
toward the fullness of eternal life with you.
We ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen
