The role of the TCDSB Mathematics Department is to support teachers in the classroom as they strive to deliver a high quality mathematics program for our students. This is accomplished through:
Facilitating professional development in mathematics education through workshops, conferences, etc.
Recommending and purchasing resources to support the mathematics program
Supporting the communication of current issues in mathematics with teachers, students, parents and administrators
Developing of curriculum resources
Providing in-class support for teachers
Acting as liaison with Ministry of Education, EQAO, Mathematics Associations, Post Secondary Institutions, and other school Boards
