Welcome to Grade 5

Objectives for the Year:
To attain a standard of quality of work from each student that best reflects his/her abilities in daily work and special assignments.
To expect neatness and completeness of all daily work, homework, and special projects.
To develop the skill of organization of self, work, notebooks, and time in class to allow for optimum learning opportunity.
To develop a Christian and caring atmosphere within the classroom displaying respect for self, fellow students, adults, and property.

Homework Expections:
1.Homework may consist of completing unfinished classroom work, assigned homework for practice or drill, reviewing daily work/preparing for tests, and special projects.
2.Times when homework is incomplete left at home, misplaced etc. will be recorded. After 3 instances, the parent will be notified through a formal note, which is to be signed and returned to school where it will be kept on file. Incomplete homework entries are directly reflected in the homework completion section on the report card. Please remember that success can only be achieved if the student, the teacher, and the parent all work together to ensure that it does.
