Founded as the first school in Annunciation Parish in 1959, Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic
School has offered a unique, bilingual Early French Immersion Program since 1987.
This Program is thriving and continuing to grow each year. We invite you to learn

The School Program

The school program includes:
 | the teaching of Gospel values, liturgical celebrations, and sacramental preparation |
| a superb bilingual French Immersion setting, starting in Senior Kindergaten for those with no previous exposure to French |

Education for Christian Living

We have a strong link with Annunciation Parish. Parish priests pay regular visits to the school to help the children grow in Faith. The Religious Education and Fully Alive Programs are taught at all levels. Students are prepared for the sacraments of Holy Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation.

French Immersion Program

After completing an English J.K. Program, students starting French in Senior Kindergarten progress very quickly. Instruction in English recommences in Grade 3. By Grade 8, the children are essentially bilingual in Canada's two official languages.

Extra-Curricular Activities

A wide variety of daily co-curricular activities enriches the learning experience: sports teams, house leagues, clubs, choir. Special activity days and concerts help to create and enhance the tremendous school spirit that is present.

Catholic School Advisory Council

We have a very caring and active Catholic School Advisory Council which meets on a regular basis to discuss matters pertaining to the education of our students, to plan fund raising activities and to plan socials. The Council supports many school activities and encourages the involvement of all parents in the school.

After School Program

The School Council has established and After-School Program which runs from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays for students from Grades SK-8. Children within our local community may enroll to take advantage of a wide variety of courses and activities.

We are a well established French Immersion school promoting the French language and culture through on-going curriculum initiatives. Our children come to appreciate the diversity of our country through instruction in our two official languages. The sound foundation in French and the emphasis on solid academic achievement provided at Our Lady of Wisdom throughout the elementary years assists students in planning future directions.
