TCDSB Policy Register

Policy: 

The TCDSB shall present an Award of Merit to persons who have made an outstanding contribution to the TCDSB and to Catholic education. 

Regulations: 

1.                  A plaque with the inscription "Toronto Catholic District School Board Award of Merit" shall be presented to each recipient of the award. 

2.                  Upon the recommendation of the Director of Education, the Board of Trustees shall select the recipients. 

3.                  The award shall be made to a person who has made outstanding contributions to the TCDSB and to Catholic education.  

4.                  The awards shall be presented annually at  the Special Awards Presentation event held in the spring, or exceptionally at the Inaugural Meeting of the Board.  

5.                  Employees and/or trustees shall not be considered for the award until a three (3) year period has passed since their separation from the TCDSB. 

6.                  The number of recipients in any one year shall not exceed three.
