ALUMNI AWARDS--A.30  

Policy:

The Toronto Catholic District School Board shall present an Alumni Award to accomplished alumni of the TCDSB who were students in a Toronto Catholic District School Board school, who are still active in the Catholic community and who have distinguished themselves in their career or accomplishments.

Regulations:

1.                  A plaque with the inscription "Toronto Catholic District School Board Alumni Award" shall be presented to each recipient of the award.

2.                  Upon the recommendation of the Director of Education, the Board of Trustees shall select the recipients.

3.                  The award shall be made to a person who was a student in a Toronto Catholic District School Board school, who is still active in the Catholic community and who has distinguished himself or herself in his or her career and accomplishments.

4.                  The recipients will be chosen from diverse areas of career and endeavour.

5.                  The award(s) shall be presented annually at the Annual Awards Night event held the first Monday of Catholic Education Week.

6.                  The number of recipients in any one year shall not exceed two.

7.                  A plaque containing the names of recipients will be placed in the Catholic Education Centre.

8.                  The TCDSB Alumni Award is to recognize alumni who are not currently employees or trustees of the TCDSB.
