The focus of school psychology is on creating environments that facilitate learning and promote mental health. School psychology seeks to help families and school staff facilitate the intellectual, academic, social/emotional and spiritual development of students.
“…School psychologists are the most highly trained mental health experts in schools. In addition to knowledge about prevention, intervention, and evaluation for a number of childhood problems, school psychologists have unique expertise regarding issues of learning and schools.”
