On Sunday May, 29, 2011, Josyf Cardinal Slipyj School officially celebrated its 25th anniversary with a liturgy held at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Celebrating mass were Bishop Stephen Chmilar, Fr. Roman Lobay, Fr. Oleh Kachur, Fr. Oleh Yurik and visiting guest priests with staff, students and alumni in attendance.
Following liturgy, guests were treated to a repertoire of music played by the school orchestra lead by Mr.Terrance Hrab, listened to the humorous wit of our principal – Mr. Wasyl Zyla as well as to guest speaker Mr. V. Luciw – one of several first parent founders of our school who spoke about the infancy of JCS and its first steps.

A special thank you to Mrs.Ulana Smereczynsky and the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League who hosted a most delectable buffet for all of our guests to enjoy.
The day ended with a special blessing and prayer from our Bishop Stephen Chmilar.
