CENTRO BIENVENIDOS is the Spanish Resource centre of the Toronto Catholic District School Board located at:

HISTORY CENTRO BIENVENIDOS first opened its doors in November 2001. Detailed information is available in the Spanish version. MISSION To promote the preservation of the Spanish language through a variety of activities including the participation of parents, older adults and community at large in the literacy process and academic upgrading of students, as well as in their human development; thanks to the voluntary assistance of dedicated professionals. ACTIVITIES Activities are free of charge and modified periodically, to name a few:
Teacher candidates from the Concurrent Program at York University offer tutoring as part of their placement. Foreign trained teachers immerse themselves in the Canadian school system. High school students get their Community Service mandatory hours prior to obtaining their “OSSD”. Future candidates to the Faculties of Education and Social Work gain experience and obtain their referral letters and are assisted with their applications.
