Dear Parents and School Community,

As the school year comes to an end, we would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the many individuals who have volunteered their time to contribute to the success of the school council this year. The St. Cyril C.S.A.C. had a very rewarding 2001 – 2002 school year. The school council held 11 meetings, which were open to the public to encourage input from parents and other members of the school community. These meetings were held on the following dates: September 26th, 2001, October 11th, 2001, October 17th, 2001, November 21st, 2001, December 12th, 2001, January 16th, 2002, March 20th, 2002, April 10th, 2002, April 17th, 2002, May 15th, 2002 and June 12th, 2002. C.S.A.C. had fifty-five objectives that were raised from the parent community in October 2001. From the fifty-five objectives, twenty-six initiatives were executed as planned, twenty-two initiatives were executed and continue to develop, three initiatives were not accomplished and three of the initiatives the responsibility was transitioned to the school. Therefore, Of the original 55 initiatives, 89% fall under the "Executed as Planned" and the Executed and Continue to Develop" Categories. The detailed document of the fifty-five objectives will be posted on the St. Cyril Website www.tcdsb.org/stcyril/. Document title is C.S.A.C. Objective Adherence Report for School Year 2001-2002.

September 23rd, 2002 will be the first C.S.A.C. meeting of the new year. At this meeting, we will elect the new council. We encourage all parents to attend this important meeting. It will be your opportunity to get involved in your child’s education.

We wish you a safe and happy summer and look forward to seeing you in September.

Yours very truly,

St. Cyril’s Catholic School Advisory Council.
