School Year Report Card
June 27, 2005
Dear St. Cyril
Parents,
Over the past
school year, the dedicated members of your C.S.A.C. have worked tirelessly in
building and fostering an enriched school community. As in past years, we have addressed a number
of challenges, but more importantly, we have embraced a number of opportunities
to improve the educational environment and facilities at St. Cyril. Some of the highlights of our activities this
past year include:
·
a
significant investment in technology, including the inauguration of the
computer lab and the acquisition of three portable multi-tasking systems as an
educational aid for all teachers,
·
numerous
meetings with T.C.D.S.B. trustees and superintendents to ensure a continued
commitment to the school’s dual-stream and to address the school’s needs for an
expanded facility,
·
hosting
a community B.B.Q. and an advent mass which were very well attended by parents,
staff and children, and
·
submitting
our request to Canada Revenue Agency to create a charitable St. Cyril
foundation to further assist in funding C.S.A.C. activities.
As in past years,
we have prepared a report card to monitor our activities and to document our
successes and continued challenges. A
copy of the report card is attached and we would encourage you to spend some
time reviewing it. I am certain that you
will agree with me in concluding that we have accomplished much this past year;
however, with the involvement of more dedicated parents we could easily tackle
many other initiatives which would further enrich our children’s school
environment. Our ultimate goal is to
build a school community which is the envy of all Catholic schools in Toronto.
Lastly, on behalf
of the members of C.S.A.C., I would like to thank all of the parent, student
and community volunteers who helped to make our activities a success this past
year.
Yours very truly,
Rocco M. Sebastiano
Chair, St. Cyril C.S.A.C.
