Dear Parents and Guardians,

Are you sitting down? If not, would better, because there are only 14 school days left before Christmas Vacation! We certainly can't believe it…where has all the time gone?

Much has been happened at St. Cyril since the last newsletter; we have acquired free ice time from Mitchell Field Arena once again for our figure skating and hockey programmes; we ran our 10 km for Terry Fox and collected $5,000 for the Foundation; we sent our 500 lbs of food to the Good Sheppard for our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive; we raised $400 from our Halloween bake sale and are buying bricks for our school in Sierra Leon, Africa through Free the Children; we collected $248 for the legion during our Remembrance Day Ceremony; and now, we are planning and preparing for our Christmas concerts and report cards!

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Miss Mya Buczel to the 4/5 English class. She will be completing this school year as Mrs. Varney is expecting her baby in the very near future. Mr. Michael Fanning is teaching Mr. Chodolak's instrumental classes until his return in the new year. Bienvenue to our St. Cyril Family!

In closing, as always, I thank you for your support, collaboration and the time you spend with your children promoting excellence in education. Wishing each and every one of you, along with those that are important to you, a peaceful and joyous Christmas. May the miracle of Christmas fill your homes with joyful laughter, warm thoughts, wonderful memories and quality time with your children.
