Our Student Council is already hard at work preparing the Thanksgiving Food Drive. We encourage all students to bring in non perishable food for their division. (Primary of Junior/Intermediate) The challenge is to out weigh the opposing division and to match the weight of the student council's 900 pounds! The food can be dropped off outside the office in the labelled bags. All food will be picked up Thursday, October 9th.
Council is also inviting all classrooms to vote for class reps. These students will join the Student council members for meetings and have a voice for their grade and class in all student activities. This is a great leadership opportunity.
HALLOWEEN BAKE SALE will take place on Thursday, October 16th and will be hosted by the Junior classes. The bake sales last year were extremely successful because of the large amount of baked goods provided by the Juniors! More details will follow when the date gets closer! Please be reminded that this is a nut free school and that all ingredients must be available with all goods brought to school for sale.
"ME TO WE" Student Council, a few other students, Mrs. Palermo & Ms. Thompson will be attending this event hosted by "Free the Children" on Friday, October 17th. We will keep you posted on what happens and how we are making a difference in the world.
