Day 2 Interaction in the Class!

How does the computer make us isolated?

Who uses the computer for the most different types of uses?

What are the pros and cons of sitting in the same seat everyday?

Why does having a computer make us smarter?

How can we use the power of the Internet to change our way of learning?

Put these in order:

Wisdom

Knowledge

Data

Information

Information becomes knowledge through social interaction
-Michael Fullen

So, information becomes knowledge through a social process, and knowledge becomes wisdom through sustained interaction.

Integrating Technology

When integrating new technology you will experience the technology development curve . . .

  1. Introduction of technology.
  2. This curve shows a steep slope upwards toward the height of “inflated expectations”,
  3. followed by a steep “trough of disillusionment”,
  4. a slowly rising “slope of enlightenment” and, finally,
  5. the plateau of productivity.
