| PALS is an after school club, which is organized by Mr. T. Penney. Its members usually meet every Tuesday after school to determine where their services are needed.
PALS have been an active group at St. Patrick's for many years. This gives students an opportunity to start and finish their community services in organizations such as Good Shepherd, and activities within the school like Parent Teacher Nights, Grade 8 Open House, an other special events.
The PALS group hopes to teach students how to develop their leadership skills and a spirit of volunteerism. Some students attend leadership conferences and camps such as Smile Camp, Camp George, and Camp Olympia. Here the students also get an opportunity to build character and teamwork skills.
With the assistance of other teachers, the PALS groups has been active in the school promoting such events as multicultural day and Grade 9 orientation. The members of PALS also help to promote an open, friendly and helpful atmosphere of learning at St. Patrick.
If new students require help, a PALS member is more than happy to assist them. They can be identified by their navy blue shirts with the logo 'PALS' in large white letters.
