St Pats in Vancouver! |
Thirty students and 4 staff members from St. Patrick Catholic Secondary School participated in a YMCA Canada Youth Exchange. The exchange is funded by the Ministry of Heritage, and it's objective is to expose young Canadians to a Canadian culture that is different from their own. This April, our students travelled to Vancouver, British Columbia for one week. The students were billeted in the homes of students from North Surrey Secondary School. While in British Columbia the students participated in a variety of activities including a trip to Fort Langley, a visit to a Sihk temple, a day trip by ferry to Vancouver island, a tour of Vancouver's China town, Gastown and Londsdale Quay, a hike in the mountains and an exciting visit to the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge. It was a wonderful learning opportunity and a very good time was had by all!
