Saint
There will be a maximum of 6 teams in the league.
1.
Each team will be a franchise and will need to pay a
licensing fee of $10.00 to defray various costs associated with the league.
2.
Each team will have a minimum of 6 players and no maximum.
3.
Any student may join a team until the half way point in
the season.
4.
Any player playing in the playoffs, must have played at
least 3 regular season games.
5.
All teams make the playoffs.
6.
First place plays sixth place, second plays fifth, etc…
7.
All players need to have a permission form signed.
Procedures:
·
25 minute games running time.
·
1 goalie, 4 or 5 players out, shift on the fly
· Switch ends after 13 minutes
· If you borrow a player from another team they aren't allowed to score.
·
Wooden or plastic sticks, no tape on bottom of stick
·
Goalies: full protection with helmet and mask
·
Jock is optional, (but think about it)
·
No slap shots
Non marking shoes.
Stay out of the crease
Play
fair, same basic rules as ice hockey.
Any new problems will be brought
to the attention of the Rules Committee.
Rule Changes for 2006 Season

Only if a team has less than 5 team members show up,
If a team has less than 4 players show up,
No
slapshots. A player cannot raise the stick past their waist on the windup.
The following infractions are standard 2 minutes:

Body contact
·
Using your weight
·
Hitting from behind
·
Elbowing
·
Tripping
·
Slashing
·
Crosschecking
·
High-sticking
·
Goalie interference
·
Too many players on the floor
·
Goalie Interference
·
Playing with out eye protection
Major Penalties
First
infraction:
·
Roughing: kicked out of the game plus one game misconduct
·
Swearing at players: kicked out of the game plus one game
misconduct
·
Swearing at ref: kicked out of the game plus one game
misconduct
·
ZERO Tolerance for fighting, out of the league, suspension
from school!
Safety
Eye protection, either a helmet or safety glasses must be
worn.
The rules and procedures will be reviewed every 3 weeks to discuss and problems or issues that come up.
