Pupils. (Referred to the Committee by the Human Resources, Program
and Religious Affairs Committee at its meeting held

1. That the Non-Metro
Policy S.A.01, Reg. 6(a) be changed to allow non-Catholic students to apply
to Toronto Catholic District School Board secondary schools effective
immediately, subject to space being available
2. That non-Catholic
students applying from a school outside the TCDSB would still be considered
as Priority #4 applicants and placed on a waiting list. If place is
available, then they would be considered along with all other students on
waiting lists.
3. That Catholic
students outside Metro Toronto be considered a higher priority than
non-Catholic students outside Metro Toronto.
4. That the policy be
brought back with a report that would address:
i) the number of
over-subscribed and under-subscribed schools
ii) the number of
students from outside of the City of Toronto who attend our schools
iii) the admission of
non-Catholic students with the catchment area.
iv) the
admission of students within Metro who are residents of other Boards.

Service Agreement – School Telephone Lines.

the Bell Canada Large Organization Centrex Service Agreement be renewed for
a five-year term effective from January 15, 2004 to January 14, 2009. The
5-year Centrex rate being $23.55 per month per telephone line subject to
CRTC and tax changes for an estimated annual cost of $448,768.80 plus net
taxes of $45,953.93 for a total annual cost of $494,722.73.
b)
Report regarding Tender for Musical Instruments and Accessories.

GO Transit Georgetown Corridor Rail Expansion (including the air rail
link between Union Station and Pearson Airport).
1.
That GO Transit, Transport Canada and SNC-Lavalin Engineers and
Constructors Inc., as well as the City of Toronto, and the Ministry of
Environment be advised that the Toronto Catholic District School Board has
serious concerns and reservations about the proposed GO Transit Georgetown/CN
Weston Subdivision Corridor Expansion (including the Air Rail Link) and its
impact on St. John Evangelist Catholic School and the school community.
2.That GO Transit, Transport
Canada and SNC-Lavalin Engineers and Constructors Inc. be advised that as a
further mitigative measure to minimize the impacts of the project, the
proponents provide funding for retrofitting the entire school building with
replacement windows and classroom air conditioners, and unit ventilators for
portables, where needed.
3.That the City of Toronto and
CN be requested to waive minimum setback requirements as soon as possible in
order that additional portables can be placed on site and all portables
reconfigured to consolidate outdoor playspace.
