a) Report
regarding Draft Long Term Accommodation Plan (2007-2017).

That the Toronto Catholic District School Board Long Draft Term
Accommodation Plan (2007–2017) be approved in principle, and submitted
as a draft document to the Ministry of Education for information.
2. That
consideration of the following alternative strategies to address
enrolment issues be approved:
3. That the LTAP
Phase 2 consultation schedule as presented in Appendix “D” to this
report, be approved and implemented prior to final approval of the Draft
Long Term Accommodation Plan (2007–2017).
4. That the
Director of Education continue to participate in multilateral
discussions involving the coterminous School Boards, the City of Toronto
and the Provincial Government, regarding a ‘made in Toronto’ solution.
5. That the
proposed communication strategy contained in Appendix “D” be approved.
b)
Report regarding the Enrolment Pressures and Primary Class Size Capital
Program. p.20-p.27
1.
That
subject to approval by the Ministry of Education, the Enrolment
Pressures and Primary Class Size Reduction Capital Program as detailed
in Appendix A, at an estimate cost of $70.773M, be approved.
2. That the
Director of Education, be authorized to proceed with the appointment of
consultants to complete design studies and to determine project costs
for the Enrolment Pressures and Primary Class Size Reduction Capital
Program and report back to the Board on costs and available funding,
prior to tendering.
3. That the
Ministry of Education be notified of the anticipated funding shortfall,
and be requested to provide additional funding.
