Report regarding Policy S.A.01 Admission of Pupils Regulation 6 Non-Metro
Pupils. p.14-p.16
Following motion
referred to the Committee by the Board at its meeting held April 21, 2005.
1.
That the Non-Metro Policy S.A.01, Reg. 6(a) be changed to allow
non-Catholic students to apply to Toronto Catholic District School Board
secondary schools effective immediately, subject to space being available
2. That
non-Catholic students applying from a school outside the TCDSB would still
be considered as Priority #4 applicants and placed on a waiting list. If
place is available, then they would be considered along with all other
students on waiting lists.
3. That
Catholic students outside Metro Toronto be considered a higher priority than
non-Catholic students outside Metro Toronto.
4. That the
policy be brought back with a report that would address:
i) the
number of over-subscribed and under-subscribed schools
ii) the
number of students from outside of the City of Toronto who attend our
schools
iii) the
admission of non-Catholic students with the catchment area.
iv)
the admission of students within Metro who are residents of other
Boards.

Report regarding Results of Survey of the International Languages Program at

That based on the results as per the current Board policy, the
extended day International Languages program be discontinued at St. Francis
of Assisi for September 2005.
2. That
parents be advised through the school principal of other opportunities for
After Hours and Saturday programming in Portuguese.
