regarding Additional Elementary Vice-Principal Allocations p.7-p.8.
In light of the lack of funds to place new principals and vice-principals
during the current school year, that funds in the amount of $447,591 for
additional school-based administrative positions be considered for inclusion
in the 2006-2007 Budget.

regarding School Year Calendar 2006-2007 p.9-p.11.

2. The Elementary calendar will have two professional activity days
for the purpose of conducting Parent-Teacher Conferences. The proposed
dates are: December 1, 2006 and March 9, 2007.
3. The
Elementary calendar will have two professional activity days to be
determined by superintendency to facilitate one Day of Reflection and one
Professional Development Day. Consideration for the selection of these
dates may include two significant annual conferences: “When Faith Meets
Pedagogy” – October 27, 2006 and “Reading for the Love of It” – February 16,
2007.
4. The
Secondary calendar will have three locally determined professional
development days and one locally determined Day of Reflection.
Consideration for the selection of these days will consider the elementary
professional development day calendar.
5. The
Secondary calendar will include a maximum of 10 days for examination
purposes to be scheduled according to the school’s organization of the
instructional program. No instructional days will be scheduled after the
end of year examination days.
