3. The secondary calendar will have two new professional activity days devoted to provincial education priorities:
December 8, 2006 and February 16, 2007.
4. The elementary calendar will be adjusted to have the December 1 existing PA day moved to December 8 to achieve a combined elementary/secondary TCDSB professional activity day and at the same time align with a TDSB professional activity day on December 8. This will accomplish combined elementary/secondary PA days for both Toronto school boards on December 8. (Appendix B )
5. TCDSB has selected February 16 as a combined elementary/secondary new PA day. As a result of ongoing consultation between the two Toronto boards, the TDSB has just recently revised their school year calendar and moved a published date of February 9 to February 16 to be aligned with the TCDSB. This will accomplish combined elementary/secondary PA days for both Toronto school boards on February 16.
6. The February 16 system-wide day for the Toronto Catholic District School Board will allow for the possibility of considering some form of professional activity for all non-teaching employee groups.
7. TCDSB has selected June 28 as an existing elementary PA day to replace any elementary dates displaced by the new additional PA date of February 16. This will result in a combined elementary/secondary existing PA day for TCDSB. Also, this June 28 date will align with a scheduled TDSB professional activity day. This will accomplish combined elementary/secondary PA days for both Toronto school boards on June 28.
8. Any existing PA dates in February for secondary, displaced by the new system-wide PA date of February 16, will be re-scheduled to a date after the Easter weekend in April, following the accepted protocols.
