WHEREAS: There is a shortage of psychology and
speech-
language pathology staff in the Province of Ontario
WHEREAS: School Boards are having a great deal of
difficulty
recruiting
psychology and speech-language pathology staff.
WHEREAS: The shortage of psychology and
speech-language
pathologists
is resulting in long waiting lists for students who require
services.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The Ministry of Education advocate for more training
opportunities
for psychologists and speech-language pathologists in Ontario
universities.
