Trustees are obligated under the Education Act to ensure that the School
Board expenditures do not exceed the funding allocations provided by the
province.
Role of the Trustee
Here are some of the responsibilities of trustees.
- Assist parents and students who are seeking information or
resolution of matters at their local school.
- Locate information for constituents on matters relating to and
governed by the TCDSB.
- Engage parents seeking ways to support their local school or school
board.
- Oversee and provide direction on Board activities on matters
relating to:
1. Policy
2. TCDSB budget
