International Day for Eradication of Poverty

October 17, 2014

In this Year of Charity across the Toronto Catholic District School Board, it is appropriate to acknowledge the day to eradicate poverty. Acts of charity are driven by the desire to help those in need--those who are less fortunate, who have less than we do, who need support, kindness, acceptance and love.

Resource for Primary classrooms--children’s book called Each Kindness  by Jacqueline Woodson which has a powerful message about learning about the power small acts of kindness.  Below is a book trailer which speaks to the message and content of the story in which a new student comes and is stigmatized by her classmates.
