2020 ShareLife Campaign

During this difficult period, as we focus on how "Rooted in Christ, we Believe", we encourage all students, staff and their families to consider supporting the many local Catholic charities that are funded through ShareLife.  These Catholic agencies help families, single parents, the elderly, individuals with special needs, immigrants and refugees, the homeless and the needy, as well as the education of clergy within our own City of Toronto. They truly affirm that all of us, regardless of our circumstances, belong to the family of God and we Believe we must unite in supporting each other.

This Fall, and throughout the coming months, we invite you to support ShareLife as it continues to “work wonders” in our own community and around the world.  Consider donating online on behalf of your parish.  We appreciate the financial struggle many are going through.  Now, during this challenging time, more so than ever, the need is great.

A message from Michael Penafiel, Archdiocese of Toronto:

In times of crisis, those who are poor and marginalized are often most severely impacted. ShareLife agencies remain on the front lines helping people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our agencies are taking significant measures to ensure the safety of those in their care. Many are providing services by phone, like counselling for people suffering from heightened anxiety, or helping seniors order groceries and medication.

Representatives of our agencies have been sending us short videos describing how they are continuing to serve despite the pandemic. Here’s how the work of Catholic Family Services of Toronto ensures people do not fall through the cracks:

Some schools were able to raise funds for ShareLife prior to March Break. You can still send funds raised on behalf of your school along with the ShareLife 2020 Donation Sheet.pdfShareLife 2020 Donation Sheet.pdf to:

We thank everyone in the TCDSB community for all they are doing to help others.  We applaud those efforts, and take great pride in the commitment to living our Catholic values and putting faith into action.
