TCDSB's First Anti-Racism Student Video Competition 

For Grades 7-12   


What's your message for standing up to injustice? Students are invited to submit their video reflections about race, offering a proposition/solution/action on how to combat racism. ​​

Format

  • 2-minute video clip (individual or group submission) about the theme, "Combatting Racism in Schools – Voices of Challenge and Change", landscape format 

  • Video Expression can be via variety of forms, i.e. poem, spoken word, cartoon, song, skit, monologue, drama and others. Click here for videos for inspiration.​


Submission Details

  • Deadline:  Friday, March 5, 2021 at 5 pm 

  • All participants must submit their video contributions and consent form via this Google Drive ​


Representatives from Community Relations, Equity PD Committee and Arts Department will comprise the panel of judges to select top three winners 

Winning Entries

  • First Prize: $50 individual submission and $75 for group submission
  • Second Prize: $30 individual submission and $60 for group submission

  • Third Prize: $20 individual submission and $45 for group submission
