OAPCE Meeting January 29, 2018

OAPCE Toronto Parent Survey/First Meeting of the Year

Happy New Year to all your families and communities! We hope that the new year brings many new opportunities and blessings!

We are very proud to offer you our first OAPCE Toronto Survey, it is now live on our website at www.oapcetoronto.ca just click the bar at the top!  We hope that you can take a few minutes to complete this important survey on parent engagement as we are trying to find ways to further help you and your councils. This is a parent to parent survey, created BY parents FOR parents, we hope to be able to use the results to understand and address the questions and concerns that parents may have. The survey will be live until the end of January so please share as you please! Once all the answers have been tabulated we will be sharing with all and providing the results to the Board of Trustees.

Join us for our first meeting of the new year on Monday January 29, 2017 at the CEC. There will be a special presentation from the Partnership and Grants Office of the TCDSB, which will explain opportunities for grants for your council, as well as good practices for fundraising. At this time we are taking any questions that you may have in regards to writing grants for your school, protocol on partnerships and fundraising, please send us an email if you would like.

As always, OAPCE Toronto is here to help you with any concerns or questions arising from your school or parent council. We are the only association recognized by the Ministry of Education at the TCDSB that is permitted to advocate and ensure the sustainability of Catholic Education. Parent engagement at the TCDSB and in the province of Ontario for all District School Boards is legislated by Ontario Regulation 612 which mandates the role of OAPCE and of the PIC (in our case, CPIC) in advancing parent engagement in support of student achievement and well-being.  OAPCE Toronto will continue to offer you accurate and TCDSB specific workshops and resources that will aid you in engaging at all levels so that you will be able to ensure the very best experiences and outcomes for your children in Catholic Education.

If you have any questions or concerns, email us! Hope to see you on the 29th!

OAPCE Toronto Team!
