Investing in Our Diversity Scholarship Program

 
Applications are now open to students entering any year of study as long as they have not received an IIOD Scholarship in the past. Applications are due Thursday, March 28, 2018 at 5pm (electronically or hard copy).
 
The Investing in Our Diversity Scholarship program offers up to $4,000 to deserving young leaders across Toronto entering/ attending post-secondary or trade school. The program also provides valuable employment support and professional networks that pave the way for academic and career development. These scholarships reward students who have shown leadership in diversity and anti-racism initiatives, demonstrate financial need, and represent different neighborhoods across the city.
 
What does this scholarship offer?
Up to $4,000 to cover tuition fees/ other related education costs for first year of post-secondary education or training (college, university, trade school, apprenticeship)
Opportunity for second year scholarships (for IIOD Scholarship Alumni) of up to $4,000 to be applied directly to your tuition if you attend one of the following institutions:
  1. Ryerson University
  2. University of Toronto
  3. York University
  4. Humber College
  5. George Brown College
  6. Seneca College
  7. Ontario College of Art and Design University
 
Who is eligible?
  • Youth who are attending postsecondary school in 2019/2020
  • Students involved in anti-racism, diversity, community-building activities
  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents
  • Youth who are 29 years of age or younger in May 2019
  • Toronto Community Housing tenants or live in the Scadding Court Community Centre catchment (see application for details)
