Toronto Catholic District School Board


The Operations Research Challenge, otherwise known as TORCH is held annually by Mechanical and Industrial Engineering students at the University of Toronto. It's a one-day contest where teams of 3 to 4 high school students solve 5 to 10 problems related to operations research. Operations research uses mathematics, engineering, and computer science to help users make better and more optimal decisions. 
TORCH will be taking place on March 18th, 2017 from 9am to 6pm on the University of Toronto St George Campus (Downtown). There is no limit on the amount of teams or students from each school, and students are more than welcome to sign up as individuals and will be placed in a team.
