Robert J. Birgeneau Award for Graduating Students

Robert Birgeneau donated monies to the Toronto Catholic District School Board for the purpose of creating an annual award of $250, to be presented to an eligible female student and an eligible male student graduating from St. Helen Catholic School.

The award is to be granted to the top male and top female students in the graduating class for each academic year. In the case of a tie, staff may consider financial need as the tie-breaker

Any amount remaining in the trust fund after five years will remain in the fund, if there is an additional donation to extend the awards for another five years.  Otherwise, if the award is to be discontinued for any reason, the remainder of monies will be donated to St. Helen Catholic School for use at the principal’s discretion
