Rose Margaret Carlino Award

Principal and interest earned on a donation of $4,000 from the family of the late Rose Margaret Carlino shall be used to provide for an annual award for an eligible student who is enrolled in the Special Needs Cooperative Education Program at Monsignor Fraser College. The award is intended to assist students in planning post-secondary pursuits.

Ms. Carlino was a member of the TCDSB Co-operative Education Team, specializing in preparing curriculum for students with special needs.  She continued to be a strong and committed advocate for students with developmental challenges. She was involved in community-related agencies and initiatives (Project Work) to better promote opportunities and enhance the lives of those with special needs and academic challenges.  She was instrumental in obtaining funding from the Ministry of Education to provide additional resources for programs directly related to better quality of life for the students. She was a visionary in her chosen field.
