Toronto Catholic District School Board

Easter Break

TCDSB schools and offices will be closed on Friday, April 3rd and Monday, April 6th, 2015.

Easter Message

from the Director of Education

and Chair of the Board

Just as the world is reborn and comes to life each Spring, we are called to new life in Jesus Christ each Easter. As we celebrate His passion, death and resurrection, we are called to renew our personal commitment to our faith and our God.
We thank the many staff who bring the Word of God to life for our students during this holiest of seasons, and throughout the year. May your work continue to be blessed as you endeavour to lead our young people to a personal relationship with Christ our Saviour.
Let’s pause for a moment to reflect on how fortunate we are to learn and to work in an environment where there are so many opportunies to celebrate our faith openly and without criticism. It is our hope that everyone in our schools and offices will take advantage of the opportunity to participate in Stations of the Cross, liturgies, Masses and prayer services that are taking place.
May you and your families be blessed during this Holy Week with his mercy and love.  May you find the time for prayer, reflection and service to others. May this Easter be for you a time of rejoicing, a time of new beginnings, and a time of peace and love with those who are most important to you.
Happy Easter!

“The message which Christians bring to the world is this:
Jesus, Love incarnate, died on the cross for our sins, but God the Father raised him and made him the Lord of life and death. In Jesus, love has triumphed over hatred, mercy over sinfulness, goodness over evil, truth over falsehood, life over death.”—Pope Francis
