Northern Spirit Games 2015

The New Year is upon us and preparation for the annual TCDSB Northern Spirit Games is under way!  This year, we have five sites hosting games across the TCDSB, two school in the west, two in the east and one in the north.  Each site will host 300 students (Grades 4, 5, and 6) from 10 elementary schools.  Participating schools may bring 30 students. Space is limited, so interested schools are encouraged to register as soon as possible to reserve a spot.  Schools will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the spirit of 21st Century Collaboration, the registration process this year will be on-line using a Google Form.  Please Click this form to complete the on-line registration process.

Participating schools will be sent a confirmation email by the end of January with permission and media release forms that must be completed by all students attending the games.    Keep in mind that schools will be responsible for transportation to and from their Northern Spirit Games site.   I have include a general information package on the Northern Spirit Games below as well.

We are inviting classes (one class per site) to present the opening and closing ceremonies at each of the Northern Spirit Games sites.  Each presenting class will receive a preparation session and a script.  Please indicate on the registration form if your class would like the honour of presenting the opening and closing ceremonies on your Games day.  There will be a practice session scheduled for the end of January.
