2018 Skills Ontario Provincial Competitions

Each and every year brings new surprises and achievements and this year’s Skills Ontario Provincial Competitions were no different.

For the first time in the history of the Skills Ontario Provincial Competitions, an all-girls team won the gold medal in the prestigious Robotics competition and these fine young ladies come from our very own Madonna Secondary School. Congratulations teachers John Kullman, Marcia Ferreira, and retired teacher Steve MacDonnell who started the program over a decade ago. This team will compete in the Skills Canada National Competition in Edmonton, with an opportunity to advance to Russia in 2019 for the Skills World Competitions.  Check out Madonna’s Robotics Team featured on Global Morning News
