Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICIC) collects, organizes, and distributes information, and acts as a national clearing house and referral service to support the recognition and portability of Canadian and international educational and occupational qualifications. They have allowed us to repost their Working and Studying in Canada fact sheets, along with specific occupational information. |

CERIS - "Joint Centre of Excellence for Research on Immigration and Settlement -- Toronto" - part of the Metropolis project. We have collaborated with CERIS to ensure that they have access to research reports posted on Settlement.Org. CERIS was instrumental in helping us make the reports in the Reference Shelf area more accessible to researchers.

The Centre for Equality Rights in Accomodation (CERA) provides one-on-one advice and assistance to people who have experienced discrimination in their search for housing. CERA has contributed to a number of articles on Settlement.Org. |

The Canadian Newcomer Magazine (CNM) is a new and first of its kind publication that is specifically geared towards newcomers. Settlement.Org and CNM are engaged in both a content and promotional partnership where both parties share information with and promote the other.

COSTI provides services in more than 60 languages to all immigrant communities. Services include employment, language (ESL and LINC) and skills training; settlement services; housing support for families facing eviction; women's and senior's programs; Violence Against Women program; rehabilitation; translation services. Settlement.Org is currently working as a technical partner on the COSTI's ASPECTS-Online project. This project provides online occupational terminlogy courses and employment support for skilled newcomers in 5 specific occupations. |

Landlord's Self-Help Centre is an incorporated non-profit organization that provides information, assistance and educational programs to Ontario's small scale landlords free of charge.
Settlement.Org has worked with the Self-Help Centre to create awareness of the legalization of Second Suites in Toronto and landlord resources. |

New Media Language Training has created a web site for ESL teachers and newcomers. With their permission, we have reproduced the text from their web site. The site has animated stories, information, and exercises to improve listening, reading, and vocabulary. In the ten sections, users can learn practical tips on how to protect themselves and their families from crime, what to do in an emergency as well as how the courts work, immigration law, and landlord-tenant law in Ontario. |

SEECanada.Org is a marketing tool developed by OCASI, JVS Toronto and WES (World Education Service) to promote each partner's services to newcomers overseas, before they arrive in Canada. TOEIC ( The Test of English for International Communication) who are providers of English proficiency certification for the workplace and Campus Canada/ Virtual University, providers of credit for foreign credentials in Canadian university and colleges has also joined the SEECanada partnership.

Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS). To help newcomer students and their families settle in their school and community, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Settlement Agencies and School Boards have established a school based outreach program called Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS). There are SWIS programs in six communities in Ontario. SWIS is hosting their guides to the elementary and secondary school systems on Settlement.Org. |

Toronto Public Library develops services and programs that contribute to the successful adaptation of newcomers to Toronto. To ensure the relevancy and accessibility of these programs, the Library consults with Settlement.Org and other community partners.

World Education Services (WES) is the largest and one of the oldest academic credential evaluation services in North America. Its mission is to facilitate immigrants’ access to employment and education through the provision of credible and reliable evaluation of degrees and diplomas at the Secondary and Post-Secondary level. WES evaluations are widely recognized and can be used for employment, education, licensing and immigration purposes. WES is recognized, and funded in part, by the Government of Ontario.
