Our Mission
The mission of TCDSB STEAM is to deliver an integrated model of education where students contribute meaningfully to their shared, collective experience. Students use innovation as application to develop practice.
Our Vision
STEAM is an educational philosophy where Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics are engaged as opportunities for students to develop skills in Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication and Creativity, as a means to deliver the Ontario Curriculum.
As part of a well-balanced school experience and a celebration of lifelong learning, STEAM affords school communities new avenues to foster appropriate skill development to problem solve real world issues and the use of created knowledge to support change.
The goal is to provide a learning environment that is rich in content, the creative process, and engages student voice. STEAM recognizes the contributions of all subject areas, and works to provide holistic programming to create a thriving learning environment.
