Loretto College is pleased to announce that a 14-day MARCH BREAK  excursion to ENGLAND, IRELAND, WALES AND SCOTLAND  is planned for March Break 2018.  This trip is open to all students from grades 9-12, their friends and families, and school alumni. 


Loretto College takes a Silver Award at the Na​​tionals (May 17, 2017)​

  • ​​On Wednesday, May 17, 2017 the Loretto College School Varsity Concert Band, under the direction of Mr. Glenn J. Donovan, attended​ Musicfest Canada - the “Nationals” in Niagara Falls. This opportunity arose aft​er receiving a Silver Plus Rating at the Ontario Band Association Festival three months prior.​​ Read more​​.

$20,000 Scholarship Recipient (May 5, 2017)

  • Congratulations to Kennedy Martins from Loretto College on being awarded the prestigious Founder’s Academic Merit Scholarship from the University of Guelph-Humber. The scholarship is valued at $20,000 and is awarded to 10 outstanding students each year who have demonstrated high academic achievement and superior leadership ability and potential. Read​ more​​.​

Sears Ontario Drama Festival (March 3, 2017)    Trailer: O Nosso Fado (Our Song)​​​

  • Come see O Nosso Fado (Our Song) premier at the Sears Ontario Drama Festival on March 3 at 7pm at Loretto College School.​​
  • Loretto Alumnus, Inga Breede, leads the Sears Drama Collective in transforming their 2017 entry to the Sears Drama Festival into a short trailer.

Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding at Mt. St. Louis/Moonstone Resort  (March 1, 2017)

  • ​All students will have the opportunity to downhill ski or snowboard.  Equipment rental, helm​et rental, lift ticket, lesson and bus transportation are included in the $60 fee. See Mrs. Strazar for further details.

Performing at Ontario Band Festival (February 14th​, 2017)

  • We scored: 1 gold and 1 silver!!!  with an Overall rating: "Silver Plus" Award!!!!! 
  •  2 golds would have sent us to the "nationals"!!!  For our first time out - we are "thrilled"!!!!  LCS Music has a province-wide ranking of "Silver Plus"!!!!!!​

Teen Ranch  (Feb. 22, 2017)

  • ​​Loretto College is taking students to Teen Ranch for an instructional day of cross country skiing, skating, trail riding (with horses), tubing and broomball.  See Mrs. Strazar for further details.

St. Jospeh Morrow Park Invitational Volleyball Tournament (Feb. 10, 2017)

  • ​The Junior Volleyball Te​am, coached by Mrs. Strazar and Miss Canas, won a silver medal at this tournament.

School Walk-a-thon (Nov 15, 2016)

  • An annual event raising money in the spirit of Mary Ward, for Female Education; this year's goal is $10,000 Read More. 

Loretto College Annual Volleyball Tournaments (Nov 30 & Dec 1, 2016)

  • ​The Loretto College Junior Volleyball Team, coached by Mrs. Strazar and Miss Canas, placed third in our annual tournament. Ten teams participated.
  • The Loretto College Se​nior Volleyball Team, coached by Mr. Aristotle,  placed second in their tournament. Eight teams participated.

Ministry Level Program: Take Our Kids to Work Day (Nov 2, 2016)

  • An annual program in which Grade 9 (or equivalent) students are hosted by parents, friends, relatives and volunteers at workplaces across the country every November. The program supports career development by helping students connect school, the world of work, and their own futures. The Learning Partnership.

Big Band Slam - short promo of LCS Music Program

  • On June 28th, the LCS Jazz Ensemble performed a 40 minute set at the historic "Rex Hotel" as part of the TD Toronto Jazz Festival.  We were the only "all-girl" band to perform that day out of four selected GTA high school groups (LCS and Marshall McLuhan were the only TCDSB bands invited to perform that day).

Loretto College school dance: All of the Lights (Oct 21, 2016)

  • Student Council worked tirelessly to prepare this event and it was a great success.  Everyone was thrilled. Read more.​

Open House at Loretto College (Oct 18, 2016)

  • Students who are coming to Loretto College next year are visiting our school this day to see our school, our students, and our staff.  They will be evaluating the environment and the programs we offer and will see it is the best! Read more.

Camp Robin Hood (Oct 13, 2016)

  • The leaders and grade 9s were all very excited.  The grade 9 students, and student leaders were away all day and it ran smoothly :)

Yearbook Distribution (Oct 12, 2016):

  • This year's much awaited Yearbook will be released on Wednesday, October 12th during the 2nd-half of Period IV.  It was an effortless process. The 2016 "grads" were able to pick up their books the following week.

Academic Awards Assembly (Sept 29, 2016):

  • Yesterday we celebrated the academic achievement of 130 of our students.  It was a wonderful celebration.
